By Decision No. 257 of the Committee for Quality Assurance in Science and Higher Education of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, dated April 14, 2026, Madina Aitzhanova, Lecturer at the Department of Mining, Construction and Ecology at Ualikhanov University, was awarded the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in the educational program 8D05201 - Environmental Safety and Environmental Management.
Madina Aitzhanova completed her doctoral studies at Ualikhanov University and successfully defended her doctoral dissertation. Today, she was officially presented with her PhD diploma, recognizing her years of dedication, perseverance, academic excellence, and significant contribution to research in environmental safety and sustainable natural resource management.
In addition, Madina Aitzhanova serves as the principal investigator of the Zhas Galym grant-funded research project (2024 - 2026) under the priority area "Ecology, Environment, and Sustainable Natural Resource Management". Through this project, she is conducting impactful research aimed at advancing environmental science and addressing pressing ecological challenges.
We also extend our sincere congratulations and appreciation to her academic supervisor, Associate Professor Saya Beketovna Zhaparova, Candidate of Technical Sciences, and her international scientific advisor, Professor Alexander Nikolaevich Dunets, Doctor of Geographical Sciences, whose guidance, mentorship, and professional support played a vital role in the successful completion and defense of the doctoral dissertation.
