On June 19, a series of preventive events aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle, preventing drug abuse, and strengthening legal awareness among young people was held at the initiative of the Burabay District Department of Internal Policy and the Youth Resource Center.
Among the participants was Ualikhanov University psychologist Altyn Manapova, who addressed school students, college students, parents, and educators on issues related to addiction prevention, psychological resilience, and fostering a responsible attitude toward personal health.
The events took place at several locations across the district:
The activities were coordinated by Gulnar Kakenkyzy Orazbayeva, an experienced psychologist and head of the youth public association “Zerdeli Urpaq.” A representative of the Burabay District Department for Countering Drug Crime also addressed the participants.
During the meetings, experts discussed the consequences of drug use, ways to resist negative influences, the role of the family in raising young people, and the importance of making conscious choices in favor of health, sports, and personal development.
The open-dialogue format attracted significant interest, allowing participants to ask questions and receive professional guidance from specialists.
Such initiatives contribute to developing a sense of responsibility among young people, promoting the values of a healthy lifestyle, and advancing the principles of the “Law and Order” concept aimed at building a safe and prosperous society.
