From June 2 to June 30, 2026, within the framework of the “Visiting Professor” program, lectures and practical sessions are conducted by Gabor Pozsgai — a researcher of the Azores Biodiversity Group at the Centre for Ecology, Evolution and Environmental Changes (CE3C), University of the Azores (Portugal).

The educational program covers a wide range of relevant areas, including the fundamentals of data science, the scientific method, hypothesis development and experimental design, data collection, storage and processing, programming in R, statistical analysis, research data management, as well as machine learning, artificial intelligence, and large language models.

Special attention is given to the practical component of the training. During practical sessions, participants apply their knowledge while working on their own research projects, improve their data analysis skills, and master modern digital tools used in scientific research.
