LabKit Startup Project at Pro.Nrg Fest 2026
The fifth family-oriented popular science festival, Pro.Nrg Fest 2026, was held in Astana.
The anniversary event took place on the eve of two significant dates—Science Day and Cosmonautics Day. The festival’s central theme was water, while the concept Flow of Science brought together science, technology, and art to address one of the major challenges of our time—the preservation of water resources.
This year, the event attracted a record number of participants, with over 10,000 registrations, including school students, teachers, parents, scientists, as well as representatives of the business and non-profit sectors. The festival was organized by the corporate foundation Caravan of Knowledge and the company Chevron.
The Pro.Nrg Fest 2026 program featured more than 40 presentations and 35 interactive formats, including scientific quests and interactive digital zones. As is tradition, the festival was divided into several sections (streams), each highlighting a specific area of science and education.
Aziza Aibekovna Eskendirova, a lecturer at the Department of Chemistry and Biotechnology, and Aidarlym Nurbekovna Tleubekova, a third-year student, participated in the “Science Show” category with the topic “The Invisible Composition of Water.” They presented science in an interactive format and introduced the LabKit startup project (“Chemistry LabKit” and “Water Quality”), aimed at developing research skills and fostering interest in STEM among school students. As part of the festival, career guidance activities for prospective students were also conducted. Participation in the event contributed to the popularization of science, the exchange of experience, and the establishment of professional connections.
