On August 14, Sator, a startup developed by Ualikhanov University students, took 1st place at the Pizza Pitch competition held at Aqmola Hub, earning the top prize of KZT 200,000.

The competition brought together 10 startup teams from across the region, presenting innovative solutions in AI, IoT, EdTech, agritech, logistics, security, PropTech, and digital services.

Sator was developed by Movsar Buzurtanov and Daniyal Nurlanov, students of the Department of Information and Communication Technologies at Ualikhanov University.

Previously known as AgroMind, Sator is an AI-powered agronomy platform that combines satellite monitoring with machine learning algorithms. The solution is designed to analyze individual agricultural fields, provide highly accurate yield forecasts, and assess climate-related risks.

The team’s success demonstrates how a student idea can evolve into a promising technology-driven solution. From its early development and first pitches to continuous refinement and recognition at a regional startup competition, Sator continues to move forward.

Pizza Pitch offered participants more than an opportunity to compete for funding. It provided a platform to present their solutions to experts, receive valuable professional feedback, exchange ideas, and explore new opportunities for further development.

Congratulations to Movsar Buzurtanov and Daniyal Nurlanov on this well-deserved achievement! We wish the Sator team continued growth, strong partnerships, and every success in turning their technology into a competitive, real-world product. Here’s to new ideas, bold solutions, and even bigger startup achievements ahead!
