Ualikhanov University Welcomes Delegation from the Shandong Academy of Agricultural Sciences (China)

On May 22, Ualikhanov University hosted an official delegation from the Shandong Academy of Agricultural Sciences (SAAS), one of China’s leading agricultural research institutions. The delegation was headed by Mr. Wang Yutao, Deputy Director of the Academy.

The visit focused on strengthening scientific and academic cooperation between Kazakhstan and China. Discussions centered on opportunities for joint research projects, participation in international grant and scientific-technical programs, academic exchange initiatives, and the training of highly qualified specialists for the agricultural sector.

During the meeting, the university leadership and researchers from the S. Sadvakasov Agrotechnical Institute presented Ualikhanov University’s research capacity, ongoing scientific projects, and key areas of expertise in agriculture, bioresources, agrotechnologies, and engineering. Particular attention was given to the digital transformation of education, the integration of artificial intelligence into academic and research activities, and the expansion of international scientific collaboration.

The participants highlighted the strong potential for long-term partnership and expressed mutual interest in developing joint research initiatives, sharing expertise, and collaborating on international scientific and innovation projects.

The visit marks another important step in strengthening the international partnerships of Ualikhanov University and opens new opportunities for collaborative research, technology transfer, and the development of future-ready professionals for the agricultural sector.
