Ualikhanov University Expands Cooperation with Poland

Ualikhanov University hosted a delegation from the Museum of the Second World War in Gdańsk, Poland, for discussions on expanding academic and research cooperation.

The meeting brought together Rector Marat Syrlybayev, members of the university leadership and faculty, and representatives of the Museum, including Deputy Director Janusz Marszalec, Chief Specialist of the Research Department Dmitry Panto, and Senior Specialist Jędrzej Piekara. Natalia Nagaczewska, Chair of the Association of Poles of the Akmola Region, also took part in the meeting.

Rector Marat Syrlybayev introduced the delegation to Ualikhanov University, highlighting its key areas of activity and development. The Polish delegation, in turn, presented the work of the Museum of the Second World War and discussed opportunities for Ualikhanov University students and faculty to visit the Museum in Gdańsk and explore its historical exhibitions.

The discussion focused on practical opportunities for future cooperation, including faculty and researcher exchanges, academic and research internships, joint historical research, access to archival and museum resources, collaborative research projects, and joint conferences, seminars and other academic events.

The meeting concluded with the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation between Ualikhanov University and the Museum of the Second World War in Gdańsk, marking a new step in strengthening ties between the two institutions.

The memorandum provides a framework for developing long-term cooperation, sharing expertise, and pursuing new joint research and educational initiatives.
