The «Serpin» grants are allocated in addition to the general state educational grant competition, providing applicants with an extra opportunity to obtain a state-funded higher education.

The «Serpin» Program is a national initiative aimed at addressing workforce shortages in Kazakhstan's labour-deficit regions. It enables school graduates from densely populated areas to pursue higher education through state-funded grants and, upon graduation, build their careers in regions where qualified young professionals are in high demand. By expanding access to quality higher education, the programme not only creates new opportunities for students but also contributes to balanced regional development and strengthens the country's human capital.
