Ualikhanov University Rector Marat Syrlybayev welcomed Professor Scott Kupferman of the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS), the University’s first visiting professor of the new academic year.

During the meeting, the Rector welcomed Professor Kupferman to Ualikhanov University and wished him a productive stay. Their discussion focused on inclusive education, accessible learning environments, the use of emerging technologies in education, and opportunities to strengthen international academic collaboration.

Scott Kupferman, PhD, is Special Education Faculty Director and a tenured Professor at UCCS, as well as a Fulbright Scholar. His academic and professional work focuses on special and inclusive education, accessibility, and assistive technologies.

During his visit, Professor Kupferman will work with Ualikhanov University students on Inclusive Education, Accessibility and Universal Design for Learning, as well as AI-Powered Language Tools, Digital Storytelling and Multimedia. He will also provide consultations for students, master’s and doctoral students, and faculty members.

His visit will provide new opportunities for international knowledge exchange, academic collaboration, and the continued development of inclusive education and innovative teaching practices at Ualikhanov University.
