Ualikhanov University Celebrates Kazakhstan Defender’s Day
Ualikhanov University held a special ceremony dedicated to Kazakhstan Defender’s Day, bringing together faculty, staff, and students in a celebration of patriotism, unity, and civic values.
The event honored members of the university community, as well as fathers and grandfathers whose dedication and service have contributed to the country’s peace and security. Patriotic musical performances and vibrant student dance numbers added warmth and energy to the celebration.
During the ceremony, Rector Marat Syrlybayev presented letters of appreciation to students of the Pedagogical and Agrotechnical Institutes for their active civic engagement and contribution to public life at the university.
A special recognition was awarded to Khuat Akhsunkar, a student of the Agrotechnical Institute and leader of the university’s Zhastar Rukhy (“Spirit of Youth”) youth wing. She received a Letter of Appreciation from Kassym-Jomart Tokayev for her outstanding contribution to the preparation of the “New Constitution” project, as well as for her active involvement in organizing and conducting the nationwide referendum.
In addition, a number of active students received Letters of Appreciation from Erlan Koshanov, Chairman of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and Sayasat Nurbek, Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, for their valuable contribution to the referendum campaign.
The celebration became more than a festive gathering - it served as a meaningful reminder of the importance of patriotism, civic responsibility, and respect for those who dedicate themselves to the service of the country, while inspiring young people with values of unity, pride, and love for the homeland.
