Ualikhanov University recently hosted the national “BIR TOLQYNDA” (On the Same Wavelength) dialogue platform, providing a space for meaningful discussions between students and representatives of government, public organizations, and the media. The event focused on addressing issues that matter most to today’s young people and fostering open communication between youth and decision-makers.

The meeting brought together Members of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yulia Kuchinskaya and Natalia Dementyeva, content producer and founder of YARD Production Nurzhan Kariya, member of the Youth Support Council under the AMANAT Party Zhenis Akanuly, as well as the university leadership. Students of Ualikhanov University actively participated in the dialogue, engaging directly with the guests and raising questions on topics of importance to their academic, professional, and social development.

Discussions covered a wide range of issues, including youth policy, education, employment opportunities, volunteerism, civic engagement, digital transformation, and personal growth. The open format encouraged participants not only to hear the perspectives of invited speakers but also to share their own views on current social challenges and opportunities.

The Q&A session became one of the highlights of the event, leading to a lively and constructive exchange between students and the invited guests. Participants raised questions about the quality of education, career prospects, support for young professionals, regional development, and youth involvement in public life. In turn, the speakers shared their professional experience, personal insights, and perspectives on the role of young people in shaping Kazakhstan’s future.

As part of their visit, the guests explored the university’s innovation ecosystem, including Tomorrow School - the region’s first next-generation school of programming and artificial intelligence, the Inclusive Education and Neurodiversity Research Laboratory, and the UNICEF Zhastary Volunteer Hub, a platform dedicated to youth leadership, volunteer engagement, and social initiatives.

The “BIR TOLQYNDA” dialogue platform served as an important venue for open discussion and stronger engagement between young people and representatives of public institutions. Events of this kind not only help address pressing issues but also inspire students to become active, responsible, and forward-thinking citizens who are ready to contribute to the sustainable development of their communities and the country as a whole.
