On October 27, Ualikhanov University launched Jeti Qazyna, an intellectual quiz competition held as part of the Ulttyq Qazyna (National Treasure) project.

The competition also supports the goals of Kitap Oqityn Ult (Reading Nation), a nationwide initiative that promotes reading, encourages lifelong learning, and inspires people to broaden their knowledge and explore new ideas.

The competition brings together teams representing 16 university departments. Each team consists of seven members, including faculty, staff, and students. Divided into two groups, the teams will put their knowledge, quick thinking, and teamwork to the test over the coming months.

The first group of teams competed on October 27, followed by the second group on October 28, marking an exciting start to the competition.

Throughout Jeti Qazyna, participants will tackle questions covering a wide range of subjects, including history, culture, literature, science, sports, and more. The competition is designed to test general knowledge, logical reasoning, creativity, and the ability to work effectively as a team.

With internet access and electronic devices prohibited during the competition, teams must rely entirely on their own knowledge, quick thinking, and collaborative problem-solving skills.

The competition consists of seven rounds, running through April 2027, with an awards ceremony scheduled for May.

More than just a test of knowledge, Jeti Qazyna brings the university community together, gives participants an opportunity to discover new strengths, and creates a space for intellectual exchange and friendly competition.
