History of the Chair
In 1979, on the basis of the Tselinograd Agricultural Institute, the Kokshetau branch of the Central Agricultural Institute was created and the Agronomic and Zootechnical faculties were opened.
In 1982, the Department of Plant Growing and Agriculture was opened. Candidate of Agriculture, Associate Professor Temreshev Isatai Galievich became the first head.
In 1997, in connection with the accession of the Kokshetau Agricultural Institute named after. S. Sadvakasov and the Kokshetau Pedagogical Institute, the departments of "Plant growing and agriculture" were merged with the department "Botany and plant physiology". In 2021, due to the merger of the two departments "Crop production and soil science", "Mechanization and animal husbandry", the department "Agriculture and bioresources" was organized.
