The second international working group meeting of the joint European TEMPUS 2011 project EPASAT517313-1-2011-1-ITTEMPUS-JPCR "EPASAT: Environmental Protection through Development and Application of Sustainable Agricultural Technologies" took place in Samarkand Agricultural Institute on 11 and 12 February 2014.

The project coordinator from Samarkand Agricultural Institute (Uzbekistan), Akhrorov Farkhod, made opening remarks and presented the programme of the workshop. All Central Asian partners then presented a detailed report on the implementation of the project.From KSU named after Sh. Ualikhanov, Ms Idia Bolatovna Fakhrudenova and Ms Antonina Koroleva, Assistant Coordinator of the TEMPUS 2011 EPASAT project spoke.The participants heard an informative presentation by David Arnie from the Estonian University of Applied Sciences (Estonia) in which he shared the development of an electronic platform for information exchange between all project partners aimed at the successful implementation of the main item of the work plan - the opening of a doctoral school in "Agroecology".Thus, the main objectives of the event were to summarise the preliminary results of the final phase of the implementation of the project results into the universities' educational process and the items of the work plan to be implemented by October 2014.

Following this meeting, the European experts prepared a short report in the form of presentations for each university individually.
